New Off Track Betting Center In Chesapeake Nears Completion

The Virginia Equine Alliance’s third Off Track Betting Center, located in Chesapeake, is nearing completion and is scheduled to open on Tuesday November 14th. A grand opening celebration is set for Saturday November 18th with specials and prize drawings.

The main OTB room at Buckets features 12 large screen TVs behind the bar. On major race days, four of the screens can be combined into a large format to showcase key events.

It is located at Buckets Bar & Grill in the Great Bridge neighborhood at 228 N. Battlefield Boulevard. Heading south, Buckets is located on the right hand side in the Battlefield Shopping Center.

The OTB room at Buckets can be accessed from the main dining room, or via a separate outside entrance. The OTB features both manned terminals & self serve betting stations.

A full slate of up to 20 tracks will be available to watch and wager 7 days and evenings per week. Racing fans can purchase past performance programs from a kiosk inside the OTB.

Buckets has a main dining room/lounge which offers a combination of sports & horse racing on TVs.
