2015 Champion Virginia-Bred 2 Year Old Colt To Make His ’16 Debut Sunday At Churchill

Headlining the group is top 2015 Virginia-Bred 2 Year Old Colt,  Sticksstatelydude, a old First Dude colt bred by the Canyon Lake Thoroughbreds. Highly regarded throughout his two year old campaign, Sticksstatelydude will make his 2016 season debut at Churchill Downs Sunday against seven other sophomore colts & geldings in a $55,000 allowance optional claiming event. He is third early choice at 9-2 in the 9th race, with a post time set for 4:51 PM. The Greg Burchell trainee bankrolled $82,860 from just three starts last year before a pre-Breeders’ Cup injury sent him to the sidelines. He is out of the Gilded Time mare, Placerita.

Once More For Love, a 4 year old daughter of Not For Love bred by Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin, will compete in the $100,000 Satin and Lace Stakes at Presque Isle on Sunday. She will face eight other fillies and mares in the 5 1/2 furlong test, set to go off at 7:55 PM as the 7th race. Out of the Buckfinder mare, Classic Contender, Once More For Love will be making her 20th career start. In 2016 alone, she has two wins and two runner-up finishes in six starts, good for $30,730 in earnings.
