Kentucky Derby & Oaks Future Wager Pools

The traditional Kentucky Derby & Oaks Future Wagers are an opportunity for fans to bet early in the racing season on horses whom they think have the potential to earn a spot in the starting gate and go on to win the Kentucky Derby & Oaks races. Future Wager bets typically offer larger payouts than betting the same horse on race day because it is not yet known which horses will ultimately qualify to run in the Derby & Oaks.

The Derby & Oaks Future pools are available to wager at either of the Richmond area Off Track Betting Centers — in the west end at Breakers Sports Grille or downtown at Ponies & Pints.   The third future pool opens Friday Feb. 24 at 12 Noon and closes Sunday Feb. 26 at 6 PM. This is the only pool where Oaks wagers are available. Here’s your chance to get better odds on 3 year old horses than you might find on Derby and Oaks Days at Churchill Downs. Virginia residents can also bet the future’s on line at TwinSpires.com, TVG.com, XPressBet.com and NYRABets.com.
