Friends of the Richmond Mounted Squad will host a charity night this Wednesday, August 30th from 4-8 PM at the Ponies & Pints Off Track Betting (OTB) Center in Shockoe Bottom. One dollar from every beer sold will be donated to the squad’s “Raise The Barn” campaign for new facilities and other ongoing projects.
Attendees will be able to meet officers and horses of the Richmond Police Mounted Unit. Musician Dave McKenney will be performing on the outdoor patio throughout the event.
All attendees will receive a complimentary $2 betting voucher to use towards any of the horse racing simulcasts being offered that evening. It’s also half price burger night at Ponies & Pints.
