Keeneland’s opening weekend is shaping up to be a great kickoff to spring! The Toyota Blue Grass card was drawn Tuesday, and take a close look at the All-Stakes Pick Five, with a 15% takeout: 5 graded stakes races highlighted by a 14-horse Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (G2) and a Madison Stakes (G1) that looks more like a Breeders’ Cup championship. The $300,000 Guaranteed All-Stakes Pick Five begins with the 6th race and concludes with the 10th, the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes; the $400,000 Guaranteed All-Stakes Pick Four begins with the 7th race.
Opening day is Friday, April 6th, featuring the Kentucky Utilities Transylvania Stakes (G3), and advance wagering is also available for the entire Saturday card.
Keeneland has added an early Pick Five, on the first five races of each day, with a 15% takeout. The Early Pick Five will have a carryover provision to the next racing day’s Early Pick Five. The late Pick Five will continue to carryover to the next racing day’s Late Pick Five.
