This Sunday’s (April 28th) Middleburg Hunt Point-to Point will close out the Virginia spring season of these events. Nine races are on tap at Glenwood Park between 1:00 – 4:30 PM.
An impressive total of 58 horses will compete including Overdrawn, who is in the Matthew Leslie Memorial Maiden Hurdle (Race 5). He is shown here winning the Open Flat with Kieran Norris up top last month at the Orange County Point-to-Point.
Smoking Caraquena (above) will compete in the day’s — and season’s — final race. The George Straub Memorial Open Flat will be contested at the 1 1/4 miles distance. A total of eight horses have entered.
