Attention Horseplayers — the biggest annual weekend of thoroughbred racing is just about here! Santa Anita will host a two-day series of Grade I championship races on Friday November 1 and Saturday November 2 and this year, there are more in-state sites to wager the action than ever before.
VA-Horseplay OTBs are located at Breakers Sports Grille (Henrico), Ponies & Pints (Richmond), The Windmill OTB Sports Grill (Collinsville) and Buckets Bar & Grill (Chesapeake). Rosie’s Gaming Emporiums will also simulcast the action. They are open at Colonial Downs Racetrack in New Kent, Richmond, Vinton and in Hampton, which opens October 29th in the Power Plant complex next to Bass Pro. The following partner Advance Deposit Wagering (on line betting) companies will also accept “Cup” wagers: TVG.com, XpressBet.com, TwinSpires.com and NYRABets.com.

ARCADIA, Calif. (October 23, 2019) — The Breeders’ Cup announced today the official order of races, and guaranteed multi-race wagering pools for the 2019 Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. There will be a total of 10 races (five Breeders’ Cup races) on the first day of the Championships – “Future Stars Friday” – and 12 races on the Saturday program (nine Breeders’ Cup races). The Friday program begins at 10:45 a.m. PT with four undercard races. The TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (Race #9) will be followed by the final race of the day, (to be determined) which will have a post time of 4:43 p.m. PT.
The race order for the undercard races on Breeders’ Cup Friday and Saturday will be announced on Monday, October 28.
Championships Race Order (All Times Pacific)
The first Championships race on “Future Stars Friday” will be the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (1:12 p.m.) followed by the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf – presented by Coolmore America (1:52 p.m.); the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (2:32 p.m.); the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (3:12 p.m.) and the $2 million TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (4:03 p.m.).
Championship Saturday begins with three undercard races followed by the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (11:55 a.m.); the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (12:33 p.m.); the $1 million Big Ass Fans Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (1:10 p.m.); the $2 million Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (1:54 p.m.); the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Sprint (2:36 p.m.); the $2 million TVG Breeders’ Cup Mile (3:20 p.m.); the $2 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff (4:00 p.m.); the $4 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf (4:40 p.m.) and the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (5:44 p.m.).
Friday’s Guaranteed Pools
Friday’s card will open with a $500,000 minimum guarantee Pick 5 on Races 1-5; a late Pick 5 with a $1 million guarantee on Races 5-9, and an all Breeders’ Cup Pick 4 on Races 6-9 with a $1 million minimum guarantee.
Saturday’s Guaranteed Pools
There will be a $1 million guaranteed all Breeders’ Cup Ultra Pick 6 on races 7-12; an all Breeders’ Cup Late Pick 5 on races 8-12 with a $2 million guarantee; and a $2 million guaranteed all Breeders’ Cup Late Pick 4 on Races 9-12.
