Dear Fans of the Virginia Fall Races,
While the Virginia Fall Races will run on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Glenwood Park in Middleburg, VA, the Racing Committee has now made the arduous decision to not include spectators at the races this year. The COVID-19 pandemic has turned the world on its head, and steeplechase racing has not been immune to its far-reaching effects.
Our fans are so very important to the Virginia Fall Races and to the sport of steeplechase racing! This was an extremely difficult decision that came down to protecting the health, safety, and welfare of everyone to the best of our abilities. Possible changes to COVID-19 protocols from all levels of government continue to loom overhead, but we remain hopeful that the Fall Races will kick on for a successful and safe day.
The National Steeplechase Association will host a free livestream of the Virginia Fall Races, so you can tune in online and tailgate from your living room or back yard! Visit www.nationalsteeplechase.com for up to date live stream information.
We are grateful for your patience during this challenging time and we look forward to your return in 2021! We truly cannot thank you all enough.
See you next year and stay safe and healthy.
