Races Announced For Saturday’s Free Handicapping Contest at Richmond’s Ponies & Pints OTB

April 21st is the first Saturday in months that does not feature a key prep race for the May 5th Kentucky Derby.  Don’t fret — there are still several reasons why this is a “must attend” Saturday at the OTBs, especially at downtown Richmond’s Ponies & Pints location.

You can enjoy lunch or dinner, sip your favorite libation, and bet Charles Town’s only afternoon card of the year! Their signature $1.2 Million Charles Town Classic is the featured event along with a great under card. Laurel has a big day with five $100,000 stakes and it’s Keeneland’s final Saturday card of their spring meet. Here’s the biggest reason to come out — compete in a FREE handicapping contest  with $500 in cash prizes!

Contestants will make a selection in 8 different contests races — a combination of stakes from Charles Town, Laurel and Keeneland.  Players will get a $2 mythical win/place wager on those selections. The contestants with the 5 highest mythical bankrolls will share in the $500 pool as follows:

1st – $250;   2nd – $125;    3rd – $60;   4th – $40;   5th – $25

Race 1 – $35,000 Down Town Allen Stakes at Charles Town (4:01 PM)

Race 2 – $50,000 Coin Collector Stakes at Charles Town (4:33 PM)

Race 3 – $125,000 Weber City Miss Stakes at Laurel (4:40 PM)

Race 4 – $100,000 Dance to Bristol Stakes at Charles Town (5:04 PM)

Race 5 – $100,000 Henry Clark Stakes at Laurel (5:10 PM)

Race 6 – $250,000 Dixiana Elkhorn Stakes at Keeneland (5:30 PM)

Race 7 – $1.2 Million Charles Town Classic at Charles Town (5:36 PM)

Race 8 – $125,000 Federico Tesio Stakes at Laurel (5:40 PM)

Complete your free contest entry any time from 11 AM – 4 PM. Entries must be in by the start of the first contest race.
