$600,000 MATCH Series Stakes Day at Colonial Downs

Come out to Colonial Downs Racetrack in New Kent to enjoy a four-pack of $150,000 stakes races in the Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred Championship (MATCH) Series which comes back to Colonial for the second straight year. Other 2022 tour stops include Parx, Penn National and Laurel Park.

Colonial’s 2022 MATCH Series program will feature 4 stakes worth a combined $600,000 in purse monies.The Chesapeake and Seeking the Pearl Stakes will be contested over dirt while the TAA Old Nelson and Buckland Stakes will be held over the Secretariat Turf Course, widest grass racing surface in the country.

Just Might (outside) won a thriller over Mucho in the Chesapeake Stakes on 2021 MATCH Series Day (Coady Photography).
