Virginia-Bred/Sired Stakes Day At Laurel Park

Time: 1:00 pm  to  6:00 pm

Virginia-bred and sired horses will compete in three separate special event days at Laurel Park this summer and fall. The second event day is Saturday August 4th when a four-pack of $75,000 stakes will be presented.

The Hansel, William Backer, Meadow Stable and Camptown Stakes will all be carded and will all be contested on turf. The first pair will be held at the 1 1/16th miles distance and the latter pair will be held at the 5 1/2 furlong distance.

The Virginia-bred cards held in Maryland the last several years have traditionally attracted deep fields and generated solid wagering handle.
