“Off To The Races” Radio Show On The Air Saturdays From 9-11 AM

A new season of “Off to the Races” radio has begun and racing fans can listen live on ESPN 950-AM in Richmond every Saturday from 9-11 AM through the Triple Crown Series (Kentucky Derby, Preakness & Belmont).

Now in its 17th year, host Nick Hahn and a slate of special guests will provide updates on racing news in Virginia and beyond, and will also preview the key weekend stakes races from around the country. Handicapper “Derby” Bill Watson will handicap those stakes for listeners to consider wagering via their respective on line betting accounts with providers TVG, XPressBet & Twin Spires.

Nick’s featured weekly guest will be Frank Vespe of the Racing Biz, who specializes in the Mid-Atlantic thoroughbred racing scene. Frank will discuss issues that affect not just the Virginia scene, but those in Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, etc.  Check out their website — www.theracingbiz.com.

If  you don’t live in the Richmond area, listen to the show via streaming at www.espn950am.com. This Saturday’s (May 7th) show will of course feature an extensive Kentucky Derby preview and Nick will be broadcasting live from the Virginia Gold Cup Races at Great Meadow in The Plains, VA. In addition to 8 pari-mutuel races on the Gold Cup card that day, attendees can bet the Kentucky Derby right there.

In the meanwhile, here is a podcast from last Saturday’ first show.
