After many years, Daily Racing Form products are now available to purchase at both Off Track Betting Centers in the Richmond area — at Ponies & Pints downtown (110 N. 18th Street) and at Breakers Sports Grille (9127 W. Broad St) in the west end.
The first product is the traditional Daily Racing Form (DRF), which costs $10 and includes tax. Up until now, DRF past performance information could only be purchased via a program kiosk at each OTB at the cost of $3 per track — this option will still be available. For players that handicap multiple tracks, the hardcopy edition is a deal plus it includes pages of editorial content.
The second product is the Daily Racing Program, which sells for just $6 (tax included) and includes past performance info from additional tracks, but does not include some traditional DRF aspects like the Beyer Speed Figure.
Both papers are being sold at the OTBs as of Wednesday May 16th. A shift in DRF print shop operations (closer to Virginia) has made it possible to get these products into the Richmond market. The goal is to get these into the OTBs a day in advance but on some occasions, it may be day of. So far so good though — both Wednesday and Thursday DRFs are on sale as of Wednesday morning!
