Piedmont Hunt Point to Point Recap; Old Dominion PTP Attracts 80 Horses

Live racing continues Saturday, April 9th in Ben Venue, Virginia with the 4th Point-to-Point meet of the spring!

A total of 80 horses have entered the Old Dominion Hounds PTP event at the Ben Venue farm including 27 in the Volanee Maiden Hurdle which will run in 3 divisions. Eleven will compete in the High Thicket Novice Rider Flat and 9 are set in the Meeting House Mountain Open Hurdle. Post time is 12 Noon and entries are available at centralentryoffice.com.

The Old Dominion meet follows the Warrenton Hunt Point-to-Point which was held March 19th at the Airlie Resort and the Piedmont Hounds Point-to-Point (March 26th) at the Salem Course in Upperville. Pics from the latter are shown below.

Remaining Point-to-Points include the Blue Ridge Hunt in Berryville April 17, the Loudoun Hunt in Leesburg April 24, and the Middleburg Hunt May 1 at Glenwood Park. Sanctioned upcoming NSA steeplechase meets include the Middleburg Spring Races April 23, the Foxfield Spring Races April 30 and the Virginia Gold Cup Races on May 7.
