Talk about a 5 minute flurry. This afternoon (December 21st), horseplayers at the Breakers Off Track Betting Center in Richmond saw quite a payoff bonanza from tracks around the country in a five minute window.
**At 1:10 PM, in the second race at Gulfstream, the winning hose paid $24.00, the place horse paid $27.40 & the show horse paid $11.40. The resulting 9-5-2 $1 trifecta combination paid $2,381.70. The ten cent superfecta returned $2,014.64.
**At 1:12 PM, in the third race at Monticello, the top four finishing horses were sent off at these respective win odds: 7-1, 50-1, 28-1 and 32-1. Is it any wonder the superfecta paid $14,089.00?
